What is EnConvo?

EnConvo is a native macOS application that works as an AI agent launcher with awareness of your current screen, selected text, files and active apps. It provides a unified SmartBar command centre and a PopBar toolbar for selected text, and it can turn installed applications into AI agents to automate everyday workflows. The tool supports voice input, document chat, a personal knowledge base with vector search, image generation and over 100 plugins. It also offers an offline privacy mode that runs local language models with on-device processing.

Pros & Cons

Advantages

  • Runs natively on macOS with deep context awareness of the screen, selected text and active apps.
  • Offers one-time purchase options alongside a subscription, so users can bring their own API key and avoid recurring fees.
  • Includes a privacy-focused offline mode with local language model support and on-device processing.
  • Wide feature set covering writing, translation, document chat, image generation, voice input and a searchable knowledge base.
  • Extensible through more than 100 plugins and a custom workflow builder.

Limitations

  • Available only on macOS 14 and later, with no Windows, Linux, iOS or web version.
  • The points-based usage system and bring-your-own-API-key model can be confusing for new users to budget.
  • The free tier is limited to 10 uses per day, which is restrictive for heavy use.
