What is ScoreCloud?

ScoreCloud Studio converts audio and MIDI recordings into sheet music automatically. You sing or play an instrument, record it, and the software transcribes the performance into musical notation. This saves time compared to manual transcription, particularly useful if you want a written record of your compositions or arrangements without extensive music theory knowledge. The tool goes beyond basic transcription. You can add multiple voices to build out arrangements, edit individual notes and timing, and organise everything into a complete score. The free tier includes storage for up to 10 songs, which is reasonable for experimentation or light use. Paid tiers enable additional songs and likely other advanced features.

  • Free tier is practical for trying the tool and storing a reasonable number of projects

Limitations

  • Transcription accuracy depends on recording quality; poor audio or complex polyphonic music may require substantial manual correction
